Design and Market Study of an Industrial Prototype of Asynchronous Solar Sensor for Attitude Control in Space Navigation Systems

The purpose of this proposal is the construction of an industrial prototype of an asynchronous solar sensor for attitude control in space navigation systems. A TRL of level 6-7 is expected. It will have the support of two companies specializing in the development of such sensors, which will help define the technical specifications of the prototype and carry out a market study to define a short-term strategy for marketing the device. The proposal is based on the know-how accumulated by the requesting researchers since 2017, several scientific publications, two existing laboratory prototypes and two industrial patents that protect the technology developed. The ultimate objective of the proposal is the transfer to the market of an asynchronous solar sensor with an architecture devised by the applicants.
