For two days, the ICUs shared experiences, explored synergies, and strengthened cooperation in project management and internationalization
On September 18 and 19, the Microelectronics Institute of Seville hosted the MENTORING REDINTER, a meeting organized jointly by several CSIC project and internationalization offices. This first edition featured the collaboration of our Project Support and Internationalization Unit at IMSE-CNM, the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (ICMAN), the Royal Botanical Garden (RJB), and the Institute of Functional Biology and Genomics (IBFG).
The event, which featured a full and dynamic agenda, aimed to strengthen capacities, exchange experiences, and explore synergies in both international project management and the international outreach strategies of the ICUs within the framework of the REDINTER calls.
The first conference brought together project managers from the participating ICUs to share the structure and functions of their project and internationalization offices, as well as their role in international networks and within the CSIC. Key aspects were addressed, such as project monitoring and justification, the use of management and financial control tools, and proposal preparation, including partner searches and available support services to strengthen internationalization.
On the second day, the REDINTER projects underway at each center were presented, highlighting objectives, results, milestones achieved, and sustainability plans for internationalization. This was followed by joint work to identify common lines of research, interesting calls for proposals, and future initiatives, strengthening the synergy between the institutes.
The sessions concluded with a compilation of conclusions and a first draft of a report aimed at strengthening the centers' collaboration and international outreach.
At IMSE, we highly value the holding of this meeting, which has been an excellent opportunity to share experiences, learn collectively, and open new avenues for collaboration in international project management. Hosting this meeting allows us to strengthen capabilities and synergies between institutes, while reaffirming our commitment to cooperation and the international projection of the CSIC.
